Sir Ian Holm
Bilbo Baggins was played by Sir Ian Holm (born: Ian Holm Cuthbert), who was born on September 12, 1931 in Goodmayes, London, England, played as Frodo's elderly cousin. He was educated at Chigwell School in Essex. Mr. Holm found himself training in the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, after meeting up with Henry Baynton, a Shakespearean Actor at the dentist!
Mr. Baynton helped Holm train there, and graduated in 1953.
